Working as a team by learning to sail is more than an exercise dreamed up in a boardroom to pay lip service to teamwork and collaboration. For thousands of years sailors have embodied teamwork in choreographed manoeuvers required to move a sailboat across the water and safely to the next harbour. Your group will learn how to work together better. The skills developed not only help groups do more, they are very enjoyable for the individual and can help them with a new activity in their time away from the office. Sailing will pay dividends both at the office and away.

Sailing, by its very nature creates the ideal environment to develop skills in management. It is the ultimate in team activities, demanding leadership, determination, commitment and a spirit of co-operation not available in other forms of adventure based training. Sailing can be used not just as an activity to get your team working together but as an effective assessment for staff recruitment and promotion.

We can arrange TeamSail activities for groups of any size from a ½ day to 3 full days and nights. Our team can arrange everything from catering to hotel rooms and flights and the costs involved are much less than you might think!

Instruction to Canadian Yachting Association standards with Cooper Boating instructors ensures the framework for an appropriate on the water element.

Cooper Boating is Canada’s largest recreational boating school. Cooper’s instructors are trained to the highest standards and are very capable of delivering various levels of training, from the basic Pleasure Craft Operator Card now required by Coast Guard to offshore cruising passages aimed at taking sailors to skill levels required to circumnavigate the globe. Groups will work towards nationally or internationally recognized certification for operating pleasure craft.
